    About Me:

I love to write fiction stories and have some posted on fanfiction.net. I love reading as well, but because of my association with teens through the high school library, I read more YA books than adult books. I have also discovered that I enjoy reading YA books more than adult books as well. I currently teach 11th and 12th grade English, but want to move into some type of library position. I am interested in archives, and had the opportunity while working on my masters in education to take an archiving class, but I did it from a history class prospective. The class would held at the National Archives in Kansas City, MO, and I was fascinated by the archives themselves and enjoyed seeing the holding rooms where older documents where held. I also, at that time, saw the need for putting those paper documents on some form of computer backup in case of fire or water damage. Now that it is possible to digitally preserve them, I see a wealth of potential for storing historical documents as well as sharing them. As a result, I am digitally recording and saving as much family photos and documents as possible while recording my family's genealogy.
