About Me:
Dr. G. Stephen is presently working as Assistant Librarian in NIELIT (National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology- Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh). He completed Ph. D degree entitled Utilization of ICT based Library Resources and Services in Engineering College Libraries of Sivagangai and Ramnathapuram Districts" in Department of Library and Information Science, Alagappa University, Karaikudi, India. His area of interest includes ICT, Information Literacy, Digital Library, User studies, e-Learning, OSS, E-book management, Metrics studies etc. He holds MBA, M.L.I.S, and M.Phil.Ph.D Degrees. He has passed Tamilnadu State level Eligibility Test (SET) for the Assistant Professor post during 2012. He has qualified some technical education courses CCA, D.Com, PGDCPA, and CCC. He has worked ICSSR funded project in Alagappa University. He has also published around 10 research articles in the national and International journals; more than 14 papers presented various seminar and conferences. And also published 8 chapters in various library and Information Science books. 10 workshops attended for develop the library and Information science professional related skills. He is Life member of Academic library Association (ALA) in Tamil Nadu and BOSLA (Bombay Science Librarians Association).
