About Me:

I am Associate Director for the Library Division and Hobby Foundation Librarian at the Harry Ransom Center, The University of Texas at Austin. I have held library leadership positions at the Dept. of Rare Books, Special Collections & Preservation at River Campus Libraries, University of Rochester and at the Folger Shakespeare Library. I have master's degrees in Philosophy and Library Science, am the co-author of Academic Freedom: A Guide to the Literature (Greenwood Press, 2000), and have written essays on special collections librarianship and digital humanities. I am a member of the Grolier Club, and serve as board chair of the Texas After Violence Project, an Austin-based restorative justice and multimedia documentary project.
