About Me:

I feel like I grew up in a library. My mom was a librarian and I worked in our town's public library while in high school. Then in college in worked in the college library. I am an avid reader and would rather borrow a book instead of buying it. I love all forms of books; hardbound, softbound, electronic, and audio. I became a high school math teacher in 1999 but have a degree in Information Systems. When our school librarian retired recently and our principle asked if anyone was interested in replacing I immediately stood up. Because of my teaching experience in Mississippi all I need to do is pass the Praxis to qualify for the job. Last Thursday my principal offered me the job and I am thrilled. The library I'm inheriting is very outdated. The librarian didn't even read. My principal and I want to take this library into the 21st century. I hoping to find great ideas here and am sure I will.
