    About Me:

Keliann LaConte is the Professional Development Manager at the National Center for Interactive Learning/Space Science Institute. For the past seven years, Keliann has had the privilege of helping public library professionals incorporate STEM into their programs and resources, including as a member of the STAR Library Education Network (STAR_Net) project and co-convener of the 2015 Public Libraries & STEM conference. After earning her bachelor's degree in Chemistry (University of Denver) and master's in Environmental Science and Engineering (Caltech), Keliann led STEM programs for youth and adults at an aquarium and a park. She joined the NCIL team in 2016, where she leads the development of active STEM learning experiences for the library setting and facilitates in-person and online training for library staff.
