    About Me:

    Author of the book “Information literacy and cultural heritage: developing a model for lifelong learning”, available in May 2013 (http://www.woodheadpublishing.com/en/book.aspx?bookID=2853&ChandosTitle=1 ), Kim Baker is working on her Masters dissertation (MPhil) at the Library and Information Studies Centre, University of Cape Town, South Africa. She is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for the journal Interlending and Document Supply. She was formerly Programme Executive of Document Supply and Information Services at the National Library of South Africa (2001 – 2011), and a member of the IFLA Document Delivery and Resource Sharing Standing Committee (2003 – 2011), chairing this Committee from 2007 – 2009. She has travelled to many countries in the course of her work for IFLA, presenting papers, arranging conferences and absorbing the various cultural flavours of each country which led to the formation of her ideas for a new model for libraries, archives and museums converge to teach information literacy and cultural heritage for lifelong learning.
