About Me:
I am the Technology Integration Specialist for the Manitou Springs School District located in central Colorado. My work focuses on assisting classroom teachers and administrators to authentically embed current and emerging technologies into the classroom to create collaborative learning environments. My goal is to promote learning by leveraging the wide range of apps and tools available on the iPad with their purpose and usefulness in lessons to foster a deeper understanding of conceptual knowledge and develop 21st Century Skills. I feel it is essential to be a role model for students in the digital world. I have taught in the Manitou Springs School District for the past 21 years at the elementary and secondary levels. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Delaware, a teaching certificate from the University of Colorado and a Masters in Education from Lesley University. Additionally, I coach high school girls swimming and enjoy gardening, cooking, traveling and spending time with my three children when they are home from college. I live with my husband Mike, a local realtor, in Manitou Springs.
