About Me:
A former classroom teacher, I now coach students on time management, study skills, self-concept and critical thinking about how their developing identities can I facilitate workshops for program directors/administrators/after-school programs on Social-Emotional Learning and also train teachers (Professional Development) using Restorative Circles. I'm an avid project-based learner: I enjoy learning, reading in book clubs, joining choirs and generally learning from those around me. I'm interested in increasing awareness of how students relationship to the internet, social media and their developing identities can merge. How can the same things I learned in school still be relevant? I want to use libraries and current events as a way to shed light on our possible futures. We have so much data about what has not worked in service of the greater good. With digital literacy, we have an opportunity to cultivate curiosity and a dedication to building understanding. We are all profoundly connected and living in an unprecedented time where we can access not only experiences from the past but unique and critical thinking perspectives of the future.
