    About Me:

Celeste Tapia joins NHFPL’s Community Engagement & Communications Department effective Monday, January 29, 2018 as a Library Technology Assistant. Since August 2014, Celeste has been working at Wallingford Public Library in multiple departments including Circulation, the Children’s area, the Collaboratory (Makerspace) and technical services. She also provides support and mentoring for individuals with disabilities for All Pointe Care. Born in Argentina, Celeste, who is bilingual, received her BA in information science, held a job a well-known library, “Casa Bruzzone,” and started her own small business designing websites and databases as well as teaching computer skills one-on-one to clients of all ages. Celeste moved to the U.S. in December 2009 and volunteered at the Selby Public Library in Sarasota, Florida while working full-time as General Manager of a retail store. She subsequently moved to Connecticut with her husband and daughter. She is currently finishing her LTA certification at Three Rivers Community College.
