    About Me:

My name is María del Carmen Ruiz León. I am a Spanish documentalist who loves her job. Over the last 12 years I have been working in the area of document management and archiving in public and private organisations. During this time, I have developed an special ability to identify information user needs, a strong commitment for delivering quality information services and a great capacity for adaptation to different working environment. I am a good teamworker with accuracy for details, a constant person who likes challenges. I have learnt that a good document manager must observe to their users because they are always sending you new ideas to improve our information resources and services. I am always trying to engage them, to gain their trust, that helps me better to understand their expectations, what they exactly want and how I can keep them coming back for more. I am working hard to be a proactive listener, a problem-finder, this means asking questions, not accepting that everything is all right. This is my contribution to improve every day. I am conviced that we, document managers, archivists and librarians, must sometimes leave our desks to build relationships with other information professionals to offer our users new services and to adapt to technological and social challenges
