About Me:
Currently the Director of Design Research for a large early learning software company in the LA area. Has a PhD in Curriculum & Instruction with an emphasis in Digital Media & Learning from UW-Madison. Has been a public school teacher, researcher, game designer, curriculum developer, grant writer, performing arts instructor, and project manager. Studies kids, learning, and play. Geeks out at design thinking, languages and literacies, and games. Believes in finding balance and stopping to breathe in the fresh air. Pretends to be artsy and can craft till the cows come home. Misses everything about Hawai’i except heat and traffic. Misses everything about Madison except the distance from my family. Has a thing for ridiculous socks. Huh. That was a big nutshell.
