About Me:

This is to Certify that Mr. Muammad Azhar Ishaq S/O Muhammad Ishaq is working as Assistant Librarian as regular (BPS-17) at College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Jhang (Sub-Campus UVAS, Lahore) from November 21, 2011 to till date (3 Years). He is managing all function of Library. He is excellent to control the internal environment of library and implementation of library rules and regulations. The management is highly satisfies with his performance. He shows an excellent attitude towards his work and very instrumental in developing the library including collection development, infrastructure of library and online library and online library management system. He is performing mostly in the following areas. Technical Skills:  Experiences in a library environment providing public access, collection or reference service.  Classification & Cataloguing of books using EDDC, Cutter Table, MARC Editor, & US MARC in VIRTUA,  Knowledge of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based library security and shelf management system  Demonstrated skills with integrated library systems, creating reports, and working with statistical software and spreadsheets.  Knowledge and competence for effective print and digital collection development.  Experienced with the Millennium ILMS Non-Technical Skills:  Excellent communication skills, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.  Able to work independently and as part of a team to produce results, solve problems, initiate ideas and projects.  Perform other duties in multiple operational areas of the Library as necessary.  Plan, coordinate, and manage the overall circulation of materials, stacks maintenance, online/onsite reserve, and monitor electronic resource use.  Oversee the registration of new patrons, processing of overdue notices and bills, student clearance, book reserves, and the check-out of all materials. I have also worked in Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Leadership and Managerial Skills:  Worked as “Secretary, Press and Publication Committee” International Conference on Advances in Pathology and Public Health” (ICAPPH-2014), October 22-24, 2014 held at College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (CVAS) Jhang- Pakistan.  Organized 2nd PLWO Annual Dinner (Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization) and Musical Night at Royal Palm Country Club on 26th April, 2014 and worked as “Event Manager”.  Stood Ist among all Officers of Jhang who are working in BPS-17 and above grades for year 2013-2014 and won “ Excellent Performance Award 2014” from President, Jhang Chiniot Officers Associaton” at Lahore dated 30-03-2014  Worked as “ Inspection Team Incharge “ in Pakistan Science Contest (PKSC) 2014 held at Chenab College Jhang dated (06-02-2014)  Working as “Secretary General” Jhang Chiniot Officers Association from February, 1, 2012 to till date.  Organized 3RD CVAS Inter Semester Sports Festival 2013 from 5th-7th November, 2013 held at College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (CVAS) Jhang and worked as “Convener Sports Committee”.  Organized IST CVAS LIBRARY BOOK LOVERS AWARD 2013 held at College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (CVAS) Jhang and worked as “Convener Book Lover Award” on 6TH February 2013.  Worked as District Coordinator for Four Districts by Punjab Library Foundation (PLF), Lahore, and Govt. Of the Punjab collaboration with Department of Library & Information Science (DLIS), University of the Punjab Lahore to conduct survey/data of Public Libraries situated in Jhang, Chiniot, Toba Tek Singh(TTS) and Hafizabad in December 2012 and stood 1st in all over the Punjab.  Organized PULISAA (Punjab University Library and Information Science Alumni) Annual Dinner 2012 held at Lawn, Quaid-e- Azam Library, University of the Punjab, and New Campus on November 09, 2012(Friday) and worked as “Secretary” PULISAA ANNUAL DINNER MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.  Organized Two days “IST CVAS ANNUAL BOOK FAIR 2012 in the History of CVAS & JHANG, worked as “Convener Book Fair” Held on 25-26 April, 2012 at College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (CVAS) Jhang .  Organized CVAS Annual Dinner and worked as “Secretary Catering Management Finance Committee “in Annual Dinner held in College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (CVAS) Jhang on December, 18, 2011.  Organized IST PLWO (Pakistan Librarians Welfare Organization) Annual Dinner 2011, Held at Executive Club, University of the Punjab, Quaid-e-Azam Campus, Lahore. On November, 18, 2011 and worked as “Programme Event Manager”  Organized & Participated in A Seminar on “World Book & Copy Right Day” on April 23, 2011 with Jointly Collaboration of PLA, PLWO and AIOU, Regional Campus, Lahore.  Worked As “Students Events Manager” In Department Of Library and Information Science (DLIS), University of the Punjab Lahore, From October, 2008 to June, 2010.  Worked as “Chairman Mess Committee” Sultan Tipu Shaheed Boys Hostel.8,New Campus Punjab University Lahore , for two tenures from 1st January 2009 to October 31, 2009 and 1st January 2010 to May 31, 2010.  Chief Organizer of sports committee in Punjab University, session 2008-2010.
