About Me:

Dr Neeza Singh is a Gold Medalist in Masters of Library & Information Science from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She is UGC (Net) qualified .She also did her PhD from Panjab University. She has been awarded with India Book House Prize and Dr Jagdish Gold Medal. She has a total experience of 16 years in Librarianship, worked in British Library, Chandigarh, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Chandigarh and currently as college cadre librarian working at T.S. Central State Library, Chandigarh. She is also Director, American Corner set up by US Embassy in the Library. She is also on the panel of Government school Book Selection and Purchase in Chandigarh. Dr Neeza’s areas of interest include Library Management, Public Libraries, Children Libraries, Social Media Application, Community Mobilisation, Outreach programmes and Collection building. She is an Innovator of INELI (International Network of Emerging Library Innovators) of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and mentor of INELI India and South Asia. She is also Master trainer from Indian Public Library Movement (IPLM) and declared the best trainer for Librarians. She has published and presented a number of research papers and edited volumes. She has attended various national and international conferences, seminars, workshops and delivered invited lectures and talks, participated as member of panel for professional discussions. She has guided many institutions to set up functional libraries. She is life member of National Library Associations including ILA(Indian Library Association) and IASLIC (Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres). She is also an executive member of Chandigarh Librarians Association and organized workshops and conferences. She is widely travelled person and visited a number of libraries in Chicago, San Francisco, New York of United States of America, Singapore, Melbourne (Australia) and India.
