About Me:
Stacy Brown is the 21st Century Learning Coordinator at The Davis Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, where she facilitates the integration of technology into the curriculum, manages two media centers in a kindergarten prep through 8th grade academic environment, and provides professional development in the area of technology integration. Stacy earned her Master’s in Library and Information Sciences from Florida State University and her Bachelor of Arts in English with a Minor in French from The University of Texas at Austin. Stacy has led several initiatives focusing on 21st century learning skills, such as Bytes of Technology: Integrating Technology into A School Media Center Program (Texas Library Association, Spring 2013), Teaching Digital Natives Professional Development Strand (Online Facilitation, Fall 2011-Spring 2012), and Incorporating Twitter into the Admissions Process (National Jewish Day School Conference, Fall 2012). Stacy inspires a thoughtful use of technology, an enthusiasm for reading, and a lifelong interest in learning through both her personal and professional achievements.
