    About Me:

Stephanie M. Roach is a 2010 MLIS graduate from San Jose State University. She is currently a Records Management, Project & Administrative Assistant at Certified Employment Group where she helps clients manage information and organizational needs during transitional periods. She is the co-founder of the Information Professionals Social Club (IPSC). Additionally, she is an on-call project assistant at Pettingell Book Bindery (Berkeley, CA). Previously, she was the Dramaturg for the Spring 2011 production of John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath, at Chabot College (Hayward, CA), providing reference and research assistance to student and faculty company members in person and online using social media, as well as digital resource creation and management. She was a participant in the Library of Congress' official RDA (Resource Description & Access) testing, as part of the Graduate Students of Library and Information Science Test Funnel. She interned for the University of California, Berkeley's Bancroft Library at the Regatta Storage Facility (Richmond, CA) processing manuscript collections and developing finding aids, and has interned on a digitization project at the Graduate Theological Union's Flora Lamson Hewlett Library (Berkeley, CA) developing metadata requirements and assessing copyright issues for pre-1972 sound recordings. Additionally, she has volunteered with the Multnomah County Library system and for the Shaarie Torah Library Committee, both in Portland, OR.
