About Me:

Steve Opfer taught print journalism, broadcast journalism, multimedia journalism, web design (HTML and WordPress), graphic design (Photoshop), and publication layout (InDesign) at Norfolk State University for more than 24 years. In addition, he managed the university's nationally award-winning Spartan Echo student newspaper, the SpartanEcho.org website, and Spartan Echo TV. During 2018, Mr. Opfer transitioned from teaching classes and advising the Spartan Echo to a staff position with NSU as the library media manager, where he oversees the Lyman Beecher Brooks Library's Media Center, media equipment and various media labs.
