Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

The Open Textbook Collaborative (OTC) Project is a statewide partnership between the libraries of Rowan University and 13 NJ Community Colleges.  This initiative is funded by the Department of Education and focuses on courses that lead to credentials in STEM professions.  By recruiting faculty to write textbooks or other course materials, the OTC Project aims to facilitate access to these professions for students regardless of socio-economic status. This collaboration plans to work with local industries to identify skills that are needed by employers across the state.  The goal of the OTC Project will build local capacity to save students money on the cost of textbooks, improve student learning outcomes, and develop sustainable and replicable practices.
