I will talk about the prominent library associations from India at the National level and their YouTube presence. I would like to address the kind of influential activities conducted on the platform by these associations. Keeping in pace with the theme "Reinventing Libraries for a Post- COVID World" my presentation will convey a vivid image of how the libraries can adopt the strategies to implement the recent trends shared by these library associations. The audience attending the conference would be able to visualize the hazards facing by the libraries of India, from the perspective of a developing nation.

Navigating YouTube: Surveying Effectiveness of Indian Library Associations

In Pre and Post COVID-19 Pandemic

       

        It is well evident that the pandemic is here to survive a while, especially keeping in the frame the prevailing scenario here in India. We witnessed the role libraries performed while staving off the infodemic during the pandemic, thereby constantly filtering the spread of misinformation. While we address the library professionals, it is to be considered that any professional cannot stand on its own. A sense of authorization in the structure of a formal association comes in where they provide as well as gain assistance. Specifying the libraries association comprises of library staff, organizations, institutions who are serving the community of users and trying to provide the right information to the right user at the right time.

 

        Associations are allocated geographically, grouped as International, National, State, and Local. They strengthen the foundation for the libraries and librarians. However, social media presence on the different platforms is a trend we glanced at heavily during the pandemic.  Libraries and associations were not an exception to the above said. A blended approach was adopted to foster learning at home with the help of various tools and technology, especially the internet. Social media platforms not only showed up as a boon yet boosted the libraries to think of innovation and new means to enchant their user community. Meanwhile, YouTube, the largest user-driven video content provider in the world was able to fetch libraries adopt it to establish online networks worldwide and provide generated knowledge at a fingertip. In my proposed presentation,
