Full Session Description (as long as you would like): Developing new protocols and proceedures for the use of XR equipment and programs in libraries in the COVID-19 pandemic world requires a systematic approach to cleaning equipment and libraries, establishing protocols for the use of XR headsets, and training staff to monitor use and cleaning. XR offers a wonderful opportunity for patrons as long as safety protocols are in place and equipment and headsets are cleaned properly. We ill talk about protocols developed and tested in an Emergency Care Workers day care center for youth operated by the Marin County Free Library from March unitl June, 2020. CALIFA President, Sara Jones will discuss how libraries can create and operate sustainable protocals and practices for use of XR in libraries.
