About Me:
I am the Biological & Life Sciences Librarian at the Marston Science Library for the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. I received my MLS from the University of North Texas and my master’s degree in biology from Miami University. Before transitioning to the academic libraries, I worked for the Memphis Public Libraries system in Tennessee for nearly 7 years, ranging in roles from children’s services library assistant to adult services librarian to cataloging manager for the system. In addition to working in libraries, I worked previously in zoos and aquaria, took part in biological fieldwork projects, and worked extensively in proposal writing and management as well. My current research interests include sustainability, conservation, science-based programming, citizen science, and the intersection of libraries, science, and communities.
