About Me:
Mrs. Aniebiet Inyang Ntui is a Professor of Library and Information Science at the University of Calabar, Nigeria. She holds a B.Sc. (Ed), M.Ed., MLS, and a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science. She has co-authored books, book chapters in refereed texts and more than sixty articles in scholarly and professional journals. She is a Member, Nigerian Library Association (NLA); Member, National Association of Library and Information Science Educators (NALISE); Member, National Association of Women Academics (NAWACS); Member, Association of African Women Scholars; Member, Association of Women Librarians in Nigeria (AWLIN); Member, African Library and Information Associations and Institutions (AFLIA); Certified Librarian, Librarian Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN), also she is registered by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN). She has attended about twenty conferences both local and international. Her services to the University community include Course Co-ordinator, Library Science Diploma Programme; Course Co-ordinator, Centre visits to libraries and related institutions; Co-ordinator; Library Practicum for Library Science Masters Programme; Examination Officer Library Science Unit; Member, Departmental Hand Book Review Committee; Head, Africana Division, University of Calabar Library; Head, Research Division University of Calabar Library; Library Representative on the Faculty Board of Agriculture; Library Representative on Faculty of Arts Board; Teaching Practice Supervision, Faculty of Education; Member, Library Projects on Digitisation and e-Library Operations; Member, Library and Publications Committee; Chair Person, Undergraduate Project Committee, Faculty of Education; Head of Department, Library and information; Member, Curriculum Review Committee, Faculty of Education; Member, Faculty of Education Bulletin Publication; Chair Person, Departmental Graduate Committee and Senate member of the University of Calabar. Her professional services include: revamping and design of Diploma in Library Studies program at the University of Calabar; modularisation and design of the Ph.D. program in Library and Information Science, in the University of Calabar; Resource Person at the Training of library officers Course, organized by Ford Foundation in Cross River State public library Calabar, Nigeria; Resource Person at Workshop on Library and for Local Government Areas in Cross River State, organized by the local government service commission in Calabar, Nigeria; Resource Person (Librarian) in Niger Delta Third Post Amnesty Reformation Training. The Camp was held in Obubra, Cross River State, which included a reformation program centered on education, library use and training opportunities 0for the ex-militants in the South “South zone of Nigeria; Revamping and design of Masters program in Library Studies program at the University of Calabar. She has rendered several consultancy services such as Training of Trainers in Documentation of Information Resources, in Cross River State, sponsored by Ministry of Information; Feasibility Study on the Establishment of a Community Library in the Bakassi Area of Cross River State. Some of her Community services include Team Leader/Examiner, West Africa School Certificate/General Certificate of Education Biology Practical Examinations; Member UNICAL HIV/AIDS Critical Mass Committee; Assisted in the use of Information for creation of awareness of HIV/AIDS pandemic in University of Calabar community; Member, Local Organizing Committee (LOC) ICITED 2008, jointly organized by University of Calabar, Nigeria; University, West of Scotland, Scotland; Presented a Keynote address in 2018 for National Library of Nigeria Reading Promotion Week, Calabar; Special Marshal, Federal Road Safety Commission.
