About Me:
I am the liaison librarian for History & Archival studies at The University of Manitoba. I graduated with an MI from the University of Toronto in 2021 where I specialized in critical media theory and information policy. My role at U of M includes collection development, teaching information literacy, and providing reference services for faculty, students, and staff. I am passionate about open-source values and encouraging researchers to think critically and creatively. My research explores the impact of information technology on higher education, culture, and economic development. I am currently exploring how virtual reality (VR) technologies can help to facilitate active learning, critical thinking, and information literacy in academic libraries. I support the broader LIS community as an Associate Editor for Pathfinder, an open-access scholarly journal for student and early career information professionals.
