About Me:

The library that I work in is in the small town of Brooklyn, CT. It is rural, much like my hometown in RI. Thirty-two years ago , when employed as Director, the collection was quite old & the school librarian and I wrote several grants for collection development, especially in the children's section. As computers became available, we started cataloging our collection in the AutoGraphics Verso system. Working in a small library, I have become close to many of our patrons & families. In 2007, I wrote & was awarded a CT New Library Construction Grant. The town referendum in 2008 did not pass during the start of the recession. We keep our eyes on the prize for a new library. But for now, we do our best to serve our community and patrons with what we have. I am looking for ways to adapt new ideas for our community with space and budget that we have.
