About Me:
Ellie Valentine recently retired from a 30-year career leading international teams in the areas of legislative development, governance, combating trafficking in persons, civil society strengthening, women’s rights, and human rights, primarily for US Government-funded projects in Ukraine, Armenia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Guatemala, Niger, Morocco, Sri Lanka, and Central Asia. With a master’s degree in library science from Indiana University, she has incorporated her professional training into international assistance, strengthening the library and research capacity of national and provincial legislatures and fostering alliances between representative legislative bodies and executive, and with civil society organizations, law enforcement, the judiciary, media, and social services for more effective policy development and implementation. She has also worked in academic institutions in the United States and Poland, facilitating faculty and student exchanges and collaborative research.
