About Me:

With over 18 years of experience as a senior lecturer in Library Schools, I am committed to community participation, administrative service, teaching, and research. My competence as a C2-rated NRF researcher is in Library and Information Studies, Social Sciences, and Humanities. I have extensive experience in curriculum creation, program assessment, and various teaching approaches, including in-person, hybrid, and online delivery. I am fascinated by the interactions between technology, human behaviour, and cultural influences. In my teaching and research, I prioritize critical and decolonial/postcolonial perspectives from a global perspective. My research work has resulted in 25 peer-reviewed journal articles (22 of them first-authored), 3 peer-reviewed conference papers (2 of them first-authored), and 6 book chapters (2 of them first-authored). I have published papers in no fewer than 3 highly-ranked peer-reviewed journals. According to Google Scholar, my publications have been cited 604 times with an H-index of 12. At least 6 of my papers are among the most highly cited in Library and Information Science.
