About Me:
I am the Associate Director for Collection & Resource Services, at Georgia College & State University. I earned my MLIS from The University of Alabama in 1998, and my MA in Social Science from Georgia Southern University in 2012. I have previously been on the library faculty at Berry College, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Georgia Southern University, and Rollins College.
In my former life, I was a teacher in Albania for two years. My passions include collection management, finding international cuisines, and researching the cultural history of Quakers in the South.
I publish in the intersection of theology and pop culture. I have co-edited the scholarly volumes Theology and Prince and Theology and Protest Music, within the Theology, Religion, and Pop Culture series from Lexington Books/Fortress Academic.
I also research media literacy teaching strategies, and acquisition models for library e-resources. I have published in Convergence: The International Journal of Research into New Media Technologies, the Journal of Electronic Publishing, Against the Grain, the Journal of Access Services, and Art Documentation, as well as chapters in scholarly books.
