About Me:
Jori Dale is a dedicated professional with an M.S. in Information Science from the University of North Texas and a B.A. in Anthropology from Texas A&M University. She is currently serving as a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Prairie View A&M University. Jori has diverse teaching experience, having worked as a science teacher in Houston ISD and a mathematics teacher in Dallas ISD. Her research background includes work at the Institute of Nautical Archaeology and independent research on the criminalization of gifted Black girls in the education system.
Jori holds multiple certifications, including those from the American Library Association and the Texas Education Agency. She is proficient in data organization, project planning, research, and data analytics, with skills in Python and SQL. Her previous roles include positions as a cataloger, archivist assistant, and registrar intern.
She is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Library Association, the Association of College and Research Libraries, and the Association of Architecture School Librarians.
