About Me:

Maryam joined HSLC on March 1, 2013, following the retirement of HSLC’s founding Director. She is a Drexel University graduate with 30+ years’ experience in public library administration and automation. She has held positions as Branch Manager, Assistant Director of Libraries, and Director of Libraries for the Lower Merion Library System, and more recently she held the position of System Administrator for the Montgomery County Library & Information Network Consortium. At MCLINC she managed the mergers and migrations of 16 libraries into current membership, over a period of 14 years. She also served as a founding member of the national user’s group for the Polaris ILS, which has since merged with the Innovative Interfaces Inc. User Group. She has also served as a local government official in Lower Merion Township, retiring from the position of Vice President after 8 years of service in 2009.
