About Me:
Melanie Lewis Croft, Ed.D., has a passion for learning and sharing knowledge with others. Her education and wide variety of experiences have equipped her with a unique perspective and ability to engage with a broad spectrum of issues throughout K-20 education. She has worked with all grade levels and subject areas across a variety of learning environments in public, private, urban, and rural school systems. Dr. Croft spent the first 17 years of her career serving the K-12 field of education as an elementary level classroom teacher, secondary level library media specialist, and district administrator of technology, library services, and curriculum. For the past 10 years she has worked in higher education, serving first as a faculty member and program coordinator of graduate education programs in school librarianship before assuming the directorship of an academic (university) library. Dr. Croft holds three graduate degrees with concentrations in teaching, learning, and technology; school librarianship; and curriculum and instruction.
