    Are you a

    Librarian, Faculty

Name of Your Library (if applicable):

    Community College of Philadelphia

    About Me:

I earned a Master of Science in Library and Information Science (MLIS) and a Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) from Drexel University. I have been teaching information literacy classes for almost 30 years. I began my employment at the Community College of Philadelphia as an Assistant Professor / Librarian in November 2001. I was nominated for the Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching in 2012. I want to write a series of books on grief -- especially the book I wish were available for my children, who were just 8 and 10 when their dad, a non-smoker, died from stage 4 metastatic lung cancer at age 39, just 7 weeks after he was diagnosed.
