    About Me:

Hello, my name is Scott Spicer. I serve as Media Outreach Librarian for the University of Minnesota Libraries (Twin Cities), where I function as head of the Library Media Services program. My primary responsibilities include outreach to instructors on the development and support for course integrated student-produced media assignments and commercial educational media resources. I also collaborate closely with our VR program. I have studied, published, and presented on a diverse range of media related topics in higher education, including the benefits and library support of student produced media, educational media resources, media literacy skill set development, and multimodal scholarship. Most notably, I am the author of "Student-Created Media: Designing Research, Learning, and Skill-Building Experiences" (ALA Editions, 2022) I received my MLIS from Dominican University and his MA in Curriculum and Instruction (Learning Technologies program, (“LT Media Lab”) from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities).
