About Me:

I am the Collection Development & Outreach Librarian and Associate Professor at Long Beach City College in Long Beach, California. I am passionate about: social justice, leadership, EDI, cultural inclusiveness, providing better resources for disabled patrons, anti-racism, instruction & training of future library staff, mentoring, continuing education through professional development and the BIPOC librarian & staff experience. I am currently a Booklist advisory board member, BCALA executive board member, CARL executive board member serving as interim Director-at-large for Community Colleges and Interest Group Coordinator. I recently completed the 2021 CLA Developing Library Leaders Challenge. I hold certificates in: Social Media & Marketing from CSU Dominguez Hills; Diversity & Inclusion Skills from Library Juice Academy; and Diversity, and Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business.
