About Me:
Shenise McGhee is librarian/professor at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff. Her research interests include intellectual freedom, open education resources, assessment, marketing, information literacy instruction, and digital librarianship. Shenise has been in academic librarianship for 16 years and enjoys working in reference and student success. She has served and chaired state and national committees such as the Arkansas Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Committee (chair), ALA’s Office for Intellectual Freedom Committee(member), and the Gerald Hodges Intellectual Freedom Chapter Relations Award Committee (chair), as well as taking part in the IFRT Coalition Building Intellectual Freedom Table. Shenise received the Arkansas Library Association Intellectual Freedom Award in 2019 for her work with the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom Working Group in the revision of the Interpretations of the Library Bill of Rights
