Shivendra Singh

I am a Senior Librarian at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Raipur, with over 30 years of experience in academic, medical, and research libraries. My professional expertise spans library leadership, digital libraries, scholarly communication, bibliometrics, research support services, electronic resource management, and research information systems. Throughout my career, I have worked with prestigious institutions including AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Patna, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), and the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Ghaziabad. I hold a Ph.D. in Library and Information Science and remain committed to advancing academic excellence through innovative library services and evidence-based information management.

My research focuses on bibliometrics, scientometrics, scholarly communication, research evaluation, digital libraries, information literacy, research integrity, and academic publishing. I have authored 74 scholarly publications, including 58 peer-reviewed journal articles, 2 books, 4 book chapters, and 11 conference papers, with my work indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, ORCID, ResearchGate, and VIDWAN. My publications have received more than 350 citations, reflecting sustained contributions to the Library and Information Science community.

I possess extensive experience in managing electronic resources, institutional repositories, plagiarism detection systems, and research databases, with technical expertise in MARC21, Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC), KOHA, LIBSYS, DSpace, GSDL, Turnitin, iThenticate, Scopus, Web of Science, Mendeley and EndNote. My work emphasizes improving research quality, enhancing scholarly visibility, and supporting researchers throughout the research lifecycle.

In addition to my administrative and research responsibilities, I actively organize professional development programmes, workshops, and training sessions on scholarly publishing, research databases, bibliometrics, and evidence-based information resources. I collaborate with leading international publishers and organizations including BMJ Publishing Group, Elsevier, Clarivate, Wiley, Springer Nature, Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Wolters Kluwer, and others to promote research excellence and digital scholarship.
