A service-oriented experienced librarian and a record analyst by profession with 15+ years of hands-on know-how, giving leadership to a variety of projects of digital object management; a self-motivated individual who readily identifies opportunities for increased service offerings; a learning enthusiast who develops and facilitates educational modules to enhance user knowledge and experience; a dedicated and loyal contributor with a particular interest and ability to quickly learn and apply new technology. Possess a strong capacity in building and curating excellent digital collections to support research and education, the provision of information literacy, research and scholarly communications activities. Have the excellent skills and grasp on library-related applications, standard/schema, and protocols including, but not limited to, SIRSI, InMagic, MARC, Dublin Core, RDA, MS Office, HTML, XML, Adobe suits, etc.
I earned the Master of Information degree from the University of Toronto (iSchool of Toronto) which has given me exposure on the current view and trends in the library, records, and information science and allows me to think critically, and improve lead quality as well. I am very much comfortable with, and interest in: health information, record management, library services for the marginalized community, information architecture, metadata management, information-seeking behaviour among women in developing countries.
