About Me:

Soraya is a passionate and developing librarian who is dedicated to lifelong learning, collaborative teamwork, and fostering diverse community connections. Her professional experience spans reference services, information technology, museum programs, and enhancing access to knowledge resources. She holds a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of California, Riverside. In addition to her work in libraries, Soraya has a keen interest in STEAM programming, wildlife conservation, and sustainability initiatives. She is also deeply committed to her ongoing professional growth. Outside of her career, Soraya enjoys drawing, listening to music, and reading with her puppy, Mushroom, all while enjoying the soothing sounds of light jazz or classical music in the background.
