Full Session Description (as long as you would like):

When there is conflict or misalignment between your personal value system and that of your organizations, you increase your risk of burnout. working in a public library is hard work, serving the public is even harder. It is important to evaluate your values, understand what your organization expects of you, and determine if they fit together. I will share and discuss some exercises I assigned to my Public Service staff; to review, challenge and ultimately dig deep into where their value system aligned or conflicted with the organization . This is a necessary process in preventing burnout and truly understanding the service and value you bring to your community.
