I'm a teacher librarian & recently started a community based blog for getting boys to read - http://GettingBoysToRead.com. Please send me a friend request if you'd like to network, share ideas, and learn more about getting boys to read.
Hi Ann, would you like to participate in the Library 2.0 Member survey I created for my Research Methods class?! It's not very long, and is mostly demographic and interest information. If you do, I would appreciate any comments you have about how I could improve it. Thanks, Julie Click Here to take survey
I completely agree with your philosophy of librarianship. Programming is one my favorite "duties." My best programs are either musical or feature animals. One time I asked a group of harpists to give a short recital and talk about their instruments and what it was like to be a professional harpist. Another time our Friends paid for Working Wildlife to bring several animal actors to my branch. Children and adults really enjoyed the show. I admire your outreach to thedeaf community, they are truly underserved by libraries.
