Libraries and librarians have become vital leaders in the open education movement. It is increasingly common for them to support faculty in transitioning courses to zero-cost course materials and creating or modifying open educational resources (OER), among other things. Given the transformative nature of generative AI, librarians need to understand how these technologies impact OER-related work. This session will provide an overview of some of the key opportunities and issues generative AI presents for OER.
